Mission: To humanely control the homeless cat population by providing spay/neuter services for feral and stray cats.

More than 24,000 cats are euthanized annually in Colorado simply because there aren’t enough homes for all of them. Unfortunately, we can’t adopt our way out of this problem. Spay/neuter is the only way to humanely solve the cat overpopulation problem. The Feline Fix is a local nonprofit committed to providing affordable and accessible spay and neuter surgeries for individuals caring for cats.

Who We Are

Founded in 1991, Rocky Mountain Alley Cat Alliance (now dba The Feline Fix) is dedicated to humane population control for the Denver region’s cat population.  The Feline Fix’s spay/neuter clinic is the only high quality, high volume clinic in the area devoted to providing affordable spay/neuter services for feral, stray and owned cats.

What We Do

The Feline Fix operates a high quality, high volume, low cost spay/neuter clinic on Thursdays and Saturdays.

The Feline Fix also offers a comprehensive trap-neuter-return (TNR) program for the public, so neighbors can work together to humanely control their free roaming cat populations.  The community is encouraged to take advantage of our TNR workshops and humane trap bank.

The Feline Fix gives cat guardians the opportunity to stop cat overpopulation from happening in their own homes by offering affordable spay and neuter services every week.

(We do not offer foster, adoption or relocation services.)

Why We Do It

Many of the 24,000 cats euthanized are litters of kittens. The only humane way to lower the numbers is through spaying and neutering. An unaltered female cat may become pregnant as early as five months of age, and bear 2-3 litters per year for her entire life. Every cat we spay will prevent as many as 200 more kittens from being born.
