Shop For Your Pet, Help Us

RMACA is always in need of dry cat food and wet cat food for our feral friends -- no amount is too small! To help our colonies with meals, please bring donated dry cat food to RMACA during open hours. Or, please send a check, and note in the memo that you would like the donation to go to the Feral Food Fund.
RMACA accepts used cars as donations. The donation is tax deductible and RMACA receives 100% of the net profit from the sale of your car when it goes to auction. Cars for Charity will tow your car, process the title, auction the vehicle, and forward the net profit to RMACA. RMACA recycles aluminum cans for cash. If you have cans you’d like to donate to the recycling program, please drop them off during office hours.

Twiggy was a very special tame cat who was found, in very bad condition, living in a feral cat colony. He was declawed which indicated that, at one time, he was someone’s pet. It also meant that he was unable to defend himself after being dumped in a colony. For more than two months, RMACA staff, and partner veterinarians at Downtown Animal Care Center and Tender Touch Animal Hospital, nursed Twiggy. Although emaciated and weak, Twiggy developed quite the personality and quickly became an RMACA favorite -- when he wasn’t stealing ravioli off of someone’s plate! In honor of Twiggy, RMACA has set up a fund in his name to pay for medical expenses associated with  other special needs stray cats like him.

Also, please remember, if you ever encounter circumstances that prevent you from keeping your pet, it’s kinder to surrender your cat to a shelter or rescue group than to dump your cat on the street.
