Comedy for Cats

On Thursday, December 4, as part of its "Comedy for a Cause" series, the Bovine Metropolis Theater will host an evening of family style comedy to benefit RMACA.  The Bovine, located at 1527 Champa Street, is Denver's premier improv theater.  Showtime is 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $16.  For more information about the Bovine, go to www.bovinemetropolis.com.  To secure your seat before the show sells out, drop a line to reservations@bovinemetropolis.com

Meet Santa Paws

Visit RMACA at the Lakewood PETsMART at 160 Wadsworth Blvd. on Sunday, December 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to have your photo taken with Santa.  Don't forget to bring your pet too!  Proceeds from the pet photos go to RMACA.

2006-2007 Stats

RMACA is a member of the Metro Denver Shelter Alliance. MDSA was formed in 2000 by public and private animal welfare agencies to reduce euthanasia for healthy, adoptable pets.

The Live release Rate reflects the percentage of dogs and cats that are adopted or reunited with their guardians with the help of Metro area shelters and rescue groups.

The table below reflects RMACA’s 2006 and 2007 statistics. Because RMACA is not a shelter, our public intake represents the number of cats that are brought to us through our trap-neuter-return work. The adoption numbers reflect tame cats that were pulled out of colonies and placed into our adoption program as well as feral cats that were relocated to barn homes.

Finally, the return to owner statistic – for RMACA – reflects the number of feral cats that were returned to their colonies after being spayed or neutered.

For more information about MDSA, or for definitions of the statistics, go to www.saverate.org.

The collection and publication of this data is sponsored by Maddie’s Fund. For information about Maddie’s Fund, go to www.maddiesfund.org.
