RMACA Mission

Board of Directors

Tammi Williams, President
Tammi began her TNR work in her own neighborhood more than a decade ago. As a three-year RMACA volunteer, she has contributed to the organization in many ways, including spearheading large scale TNR projects, volunteering at fundraisers and Spay-a-Stray clinics, and creating tools to promote and raise funds for RMACA. She is always seeking new ways to further RMACA's mission. When Tammi isn't doing work on behalf of RMACA, she can be found as a dispatcher at a trucking company or shopping on ebay. Tammi and her husband Chris share a rural home with a number of cats, including a small feral colony.

Wendy Evans, Secretary
Wendy has a background in both government and politics, having lived and worked for more than 15 years in Washington, D.C. Currently she is the regional representative for the U.S. Secretary of Education. She is also a commissioner on the Colorado Commission on Judicial Discipline, a post she was appointed to in 2005. Wendy serves as the president of her homeowners association in Littleton. Cats have always been Wendy’s passion, which is why she’s an advocate for homeless pet adoption. She shares her home with Pittypat, an orange tabby adopted from a shelter in 1992.

Raeanne Kooren, CPA, Treasurer
Raeanne holds a master's degree in finance from the University of Colorado. She has a wealth of financial experience in the nonprofit field, including a previous position as audit manager for a very large foundation, and controller for the foundation's local affiliate. Raeanne's financial expertise is a great asset to RMACA. A diehard Rockies and Broncos fan, Raeanne lives in Highlands Ranch with her four cats.

Board Members at Large

Susan R. Evans
Susan joined Young Americans in 2008 as Vice President of Development.  Here she is responsible for managing the overall annual funding strategy of Young Americans, which includes corporate sponsorships, foundations and individual giving.  Evans has 19 years of experience fundraising for other Colorado non-profits.  She also shares her house with five cats that she rescued.

Lisa Hertz
Lisa comes to the RMACA Board with more than a decade of animal welfare experience in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and most recently, here in Colorado. She has held a variety of volunteer and paid positions with established shelters and animal welfare organizations, as well as grassroots cat rescue groups. Most recently, she was employed as a shelter assistant at Angels with Paws in Lakewood. Lisa holds Masters degrees in Library Science and English and currently works as a librarian at Denver Botanic Gardens. She also volunteers at the Native American Rights Fund in Boulder. Lisa and her husband, Rob, live in Arvada with their cat, Nuccio.

Marci Hunter
With an impressive background in both animal care and finance, Marci possesses a unique combination of skills that are invaluable to her work on the RMACA Board. She has more than ten years of experience on staff at the Adams County Animal Hospital and has also served as Clinic Manager at the Cat Care Society, where she was responsible for initializing and managing its feline veterinary clinic. Marci's financial background includes many years of administrative experience as an accountant, bookkeeper and payroll administrator.

Staff

Amy Angelilli, Executive Director
For six years -- before acquiring a Denver zip code -- Amy Angelilli split her time between social responsibility marketing and animal welfare. While running smaart PR, she founded the all-volunteer People-Pet Partnership to bring the "No More Homeless Pets" movement to the City of Philadelphia. She has been featured in publications such as Women’s Day, The Philadelphia Daily News and The South Philadelphia Review, and has been recognized by Best Friends Animal Society for her innovative animal welfare work in Philadelphia. Occasionally she breaks away from her own litter boxes to assist cats abroad.  In 2005 she created a first-time adoption event at Torre Argentina, a Roman cat sanctuary built on the ruins where Caesar was assassinated.  Her most recent traveling cat adventure was moving her partner, her cats and herself from Philadelphia to Denver via RV.

Holly Aubart, Cat Coordinator
Holly brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position of RMACA Cat Coordinator. Holly has an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology from the Bel-Rea Institute, and several years of experience as a veterinary technician for both the Dumb Friends League and our mobile spay/neuter partner, Divine Feline. Her commitment to animal welfare has led her to volunteer at a spay/neuter clinic in Mexico, participate in Spay-a-Stray Day since 2004, and foster more than 300 cats and kittens for various rescue organizations. Since moving to Colorado from Wisconsin eight years ago, Holly has made a huge difference in the lives of countless cats in the Denver metro area, including our own resident felines.

Kathleen Kramberg, Spay/Neuter Coordinator
Kathleen began her career in public relations and marketing.  However, her love for animals took her to the Bel Rea Institute where she became a veterinary technician and later worked for Harrison Memorial Animal Hospital.  Here, she assisted with spaying and neutering feral cats.  Kathleen is currently working on a Master of Nonprofit Management degree at Regis University with the hopes of furthering her work in animal welfare.

Lindsay St. Antoine, Volunteer Coordinator
Besides having experience as an RMACA volunteer, Lindsay has ten years of hands-on practice in animal welfare.  She has been a kennel technician at a Durango veterinary clinic, a camp counselor and manager of a doggie daycare, and, for the past four years, has run her own pet sitting business.

Advisory Board

Howard Hertzberg, Legal Advisor
As an attorney, Howard guides RMACA skillfully through uncertain waters, always with compassion and unique insight into human nature. Howard is the servant of two elderly felines and the published author of a fiction novel.

Kathy Hill, Cat Advisor
Kathy moved to Colorado from North Dakota in 1972 after she received her Bacheor's in Animal Science.  She has been involved with cat rescue ever since.  Her previous experience includes volunteering for a cat club trapping/taming/adopting feral cats in the 70's, working as a veterinary technician for six years, and in banking/bookkeeping for 12 years.  She worked at Cat Care Society in Lakewood for 20 years, the last 14 as Executive Director.  She also has "a few" cats who share her house with her.
